Countywide Voter Turnout: 24.02%

Official voter turnout in Tuesday's Kootenai County election hit 24.02 percent. While there are 68,391 total registered voters in the county, only 54,120 of them were eligible to vote in Tuesday's election, Kootenai County Clerk Cliff Hayes said in a press release Wednesday. Those who were eligible to vote Tuesday reside in cities or the fire districts having an election. Of the 54,120 who were eligible, 13,001 cast ballots/David Cole, Coeur d'Alene Press. More here.

DFO: I've asked the clerk's office for a turnout figure for the city of Coeur d'Alene. You'll get that number -- if I get it.
