Gookin, Adams Oppose Appointments
On the night that their candidates were beaten handily in the Coeur d'Alene City Council mayoral and council races, Councilman Dan Gookin and Steve Adams (see Deanna Goodlander comment below) continued their habit of voting against council appointments, including a student representative to the Library Board. From City Clerk Renata McLeod's minutes of Tuesday meeting:
"Motion by Kennedy, seconded by Goodlander to approve the appointment of Kaity Widmyer to the Library Board as an alternate student representative, Michael Drobnock to the CDA TV Committee, Scott Hoskins to the Lake City Development Corporation. Motion carried with Gookin and Adams voting no."
