Wild Card/Thursday — 10.3.13

I've survived another candidates' forum, where parroting talking points is SOP rather than true debate. I appreciate that the Coeur Group brings us these forums, because there's much that can be learned about candidates simply by seeing them in action. Nuance is important. How they side step questions is, too. I'm surprised that only one candidate all night made a passing reference to the Education Corridor, which is a big part of this community's future. We need a forum where the candidates can respond to one another's comments or even question one another. Oh well, we continue to march onward toward the election, where we'll see if the forces of Sauron capture the Shire. Or the Hobbits prevail. Now for today's Wild Card ...
