Coeur d'Alene Police are interviewing two juveniles for their involvement in the destruction of a porta potty that was set on fire Tuesday evening. At 6 p.m. Coeur d'Alene firefighters responded to a fire in the vicinity of Hubbard Ave. and Rosenberry Drive, where they found a porta potty on fire. The fire was quickly extinguished and eyewitnesses reported seeing two juveniles setting it on fire. The porta potty fire spread onto a nearby garage, causing damage to the garage and melting some of the porta potty onto the garage's siding. The porta potty was destroyed/Rob Kauder, KXLY. More here.
DFO: If I were King of the Universe, I'd put individuals responsible for this kind of senseless vandalism in stocks in an outdoor cage at City Park, with a sign: "I'm a vandal." Or: "I'm a thief." Or "I write graffiti." I wouldn't let anyone throw tomatoes. But I'd embarrass punks of do these acts -- and their families. What do you think?
