Reeds: Extremists Target City Hall

The following letter was mailed out by Scott & Mary Lou Reed over the weekend:

The "Reagan Republians" are planning to take over the city of Coeur d'Alene. We need your vote on Election ay, Tuesday, November 5, to stop these extremists in their tracks. We believe hard-core partisan election tactics should not invade non-partisan elections. Let the hard-core partisanship be reserved for those offices designated by statue for political party contests. You don't have to believe us, you can read the words of the Kootenai County Reagan Republican (KCRR) founder and leader Jeff Ward himself:

  • "Ward: An Election Is A War" (KCRR newsletter October 2011)
  • "Hospital Board Seats Targeted" (CdA Press, April 2013)
  • "Reagan Repubs Target City Elections" (Spokesman-Review HBO Blog)
  • "Reagan Repubs Target School Board (Spokesman-Review HBO Blog)
  • "...we wil elect members to taxing district boards: school boards trustees, highway district commissioners as well as fire district trustees and city councilmen in November -- Jeff Ward (http://www.reaganreport.com/Article4511.html)
