Unfit For Mayor Site Goes Live

Update: Site pulled. See comments

A Web site dubbed "Unfit for Mayor" (playing off the words that OpenCDA.com leveled at Steve Widmyer) just went live. The Web site, launched by Jennifer Drake & Sara Meyer of the Decline to Sign organization that successfully fought RecallCDA last year, explains its mission:

Mary Souza once said that “Past performance is the best predictor of future behavior. The surface may look good, but if there's any garbage hidden away we want to find it now, before the deal is complete. We can't afford to take chances with our future.” There is much truth to this statement.  This website takes a look at Ms. Souza’s past performance as a member of this community through her quotes and writings, in order to predict how she would behave as a future mayor.  And there is cause for concern. Mary Souza has proven herself to be one of the most divisive and negative members of this community.  She has used her platform as a columnist and founding member of Recall CDA and OpenCDA to abuse the public’s trust by spreading lies, rumors, and belittling comments about people simply because they share opinions contrary to her own.  While she claims to be a responsible citizen simply asking questions, her style is contentious at best.  Her writing is full of rampant speculation, personal attacks, and manipulation of the truth. You can see the Web site here.
