Widmyer Closes Fund-raising Gap

Steve Widmyer raised more money that Mary Souza in the latest fund-raising period, but Souza has a larger war chest overall. Souza has raised $37,260 to Widmyer's $25,914 overall, according to the latest financial disclosure reports. Widmyer outraised Souza $11,092 to $8,037 during the last reporting period. Souza's list shows that she returned a controversial $1,000 donation to Ocean of Life Foundation, which was replaced by a $1,000 donation by foundation director Tom Wold Other big contributors to Souza, during the last reporting period, were Nancy Doty ($999) and Patrick W. Weller of Tacoma, Wash. ($900). You can read Souza's report here. Widmyer received $1000 each from the Coeur d'Alene Tribe, Coeur d'Alene Fire Fighters, Boise Firefighters & Coeur d'Alene Police Association. Also, he received $500 apiece from Doyle Jacklin, John Stone, John & Ann Beutler, and Dan Feist. He spent $9,083 with Range NW. You can read Widmyer's finance report here. Widmyer's total doesn't include four, $1000 contributions, disclosed in a 48-hour notice report moments ago. Contributors were: William Reagan, Danelle Reagan, PFFI PAC of Boise, and Idaho Association of Realtors. Joe Kunka, a third mayoral candidate, has raised a total of $2,500 to date, including a $500 contribution he made to his campaign during the last reporting period. You can read his report here..
