Idaho’s A Good Place To Retire, But …

John Chamness, pictured, former director of the Coeur d'Alene Kroc Center, sends a link to a Hawaii (where he now live) newspaper that lists Idaho as the best retirement state in the nation, along with this message: "Aloha Dave. This came through my email (see link below) today about retiring in Idaho, Iowa better places to retire than Hawaii. I then looked out the window of my office to view the palm trees and the beautiful Hawaiian sun and 87 degrees! Lucky we live Hawaii!" You can read the story here. (SR file photo)

DFO: BTW, I know a couple that just retired from Hawaii to Alaska, to be near children/grandchildren -- and because our cost of living is much lower. I asked them last week if they were ready for winter 2013-14.

Question: Would you rather retire in Idaho or Hawaii?
