HMO: Hydros Deserve Support

HMOffsuite: I find it very curious that so many folks don't like/want the hydros in CDA, have no interest in them and respond "hell no" when asked of their interest level. Let me remind you folks that even if you don't have a personal interest in the hydro racing, the event is very significant for the well being of community as it further fuels our economic engine. I have absolutely no interest in biking and spandex, but I support the event for its benefit to our community. It is quite selfish to only "like' those activities that are personally appealing but not "like' other activities that are equally beneficial to the community. Everybody should be excited about the hydros as it is a good event for Cda, whether you like it or not.

DFO: I agree with HMO on this one. I'm not a hydroplane race fan. I doubt that I ever will be. Sometime in the future I might attend a race. But probably not. However, this event appeared well organized. It was run away from the downtown area, which was a proper venue. It attracts dollars to Coeur d'Alene. I'm glad it was successful. I'd like to see it return next year after seeing how well it was run this year.

Question: Are you able to support the Diamond Cup, even though you may not like hydroplane racing?
