Huckleberries Hears …

... That new Trustees Tom Hearn, Dave Eubanks and Christa Hazel have revived a tradition of former trustee Vern Newby re: opening day of school -- handing out apples to teachers to show their appreciation for their work. The gesture comes on the heels of an amiable contract agreement between the new board and the Coeur d'Alene Education Association. Hearn is the new chairman of the board, and Hazel is the vice chairman.
