Kootenai County’s Elections department has revised the candidate roster for the November 5, 2013 General Election. Pat Raffee, Chief Deputy Clerk, said “County Elections staff made one of the errors we’re correcting now, and the Clerk of a taxing district made another.  Mistakes always become more likely when things are done at the last minute.”  She said the Secretary of State’s office had confirmed that adding these candidates to the ballot is the appropriate legal action. Affected races are the Worley City Council and Hauser Lake Fire Commissioner. The attached revised Candidate Roster highlights in yellow the two additional candidate filings from last week, as well as one candidate withdrawal for the Hayden City Council which was filed today.  A term clarification is also highlighted for one Harrison City Council seat/Kootenai County Clerk's Office.
