BalanceNI To Endorse On Friday

Huckleberries has received the following news release from Balance North Idaho:

Balance North Idaho is in the process of interviewing candidates for the Coeur d'Alene and Post Falls Mayoral and City Council races.  The goal is to make endorsement announcements on Friday.  BNI will not be participating in the Dalton Gardens or Hayden / Hayden Lake elections. Our President, Eden Irgens (pictured), is a partner in RangeNW, a marketing firm.  Several candidates have hired RangeNW for assistance with their campaigns for the election.  To avoid any hint of conflict of interest, Ms. Irgens will recuse herself from voting on any 'seat' endorsement if a candidate within that seat's lineup is a client of RangeNW.  It is important to the Balance North Idaho Board of Directors that the Post Falls and Coeur d'Alene citizens understand the board's commitment to the organization's integrity.

Question: Do you support the move by Balance North Idaho and Eden Irgens to avoid a conflict of interest in candidate endorsements?
