CPD Seeks Garage Thieves

Coeur d'Alene police fielded four reports of burglary in the Public Golf course area during the afternoons from Friday through Sunday. The suspects cased neighborhoods and walked into garages that are open, stealing tools and other valuable items. In some of cases the home owner was in the back yard doing yard clean-up at the time of the theft. Witnesses and victims have described suspicious persons in the area of the thefts as a white male, 6'0 tall, thin build and a white female, blonde hair, thin build. They are driving a dark colored possibly black, dark blue or dark green 90's model Jeep Cherokee with a utility rack on top. These burglaries occurred on Player Drive, Nicklas Drive and Shawna Avenue. If anyone sees a suspicious vehicle casing neighborhoods be sure to call the police department at 769-2320.

Question: Do you often leave your garage door open when you're doing yard work?
