Steve Antone, a plain-spoken farmer who spent a dozen years as the gatekeeper of Idaho tax policy, died Saturday. The Rupert Republican served 28 years in the Idaho House, the last dozen as chairman of the House Revenue & Taxation Committee before his retirement in 1996.
