Soft Opening For McEuen Set May 2

With the soft opening of the eastern portion of McEuen Park just one week away, Coeur d’Alene Mayor Steve Widmyer on Friday put the new basketball court to the test … and it passed with flying colors! The mayor was joined by City Attorney Mike Gridley and Senior Legal Assistant Juanita Knight as they broke in the new court. When the eastern portion of the park opens next Friday, visitors will have access to the basketball and tennis courts, playground, dog park, and walkways throughout section of the park. There will also be access to Tubbs Hill from the west side on a trail that runs adjacent to The Resort, along the Sea Wall Overlook and around the Harbor House. Family restrooms in the Pavilion will also be open/Keith Erickson, Coeur d'Alene Today.

Question: So who plans to be on hand next Friday when the eastern end of McEuen Park opens?
