NIPAC Endorses Currie, McGrane

The North Idaho Political Action Committee has added two more endorsements to its list of county, legislative and statewide ones, backing former commissioner Rick Currie in a House District 4 race and Phil McGrane for Secretary of State. Currie is running against incumbent state Rep. Kathy Sims, R-Coeur d'Alene in the GOPrimary for House District 4B. McGrane is in a four-way race for the Secretary of State's office now held by retiring Ben Ysursa. Additionally, NIPAC (or the "Reasonable Republican" PAC) explained its backing for incumbent Commissioner Todd Tondee: "The NIPAC board debated extensively on the County Commissioner race between Todd Tondee, Marc Eberlein and Tim Herzog. While we have concerns about Commissioner Tondee and recent decisions made
by the Board of Commissioners regarding the Unified Land Use Code, we decided that Tondee was the best choice of the candidates on the ballot." The NIPAC board is comprised of Brad Corkill, Jim Addis, Katie Brodie, Dean Haagenson, Maggie Lyon, Ron Nilson, Sandy Patano, Jim Pierce, Jim Riley and Vaughn Ward. You can see the board's earlier endorsements here.

Question: Do you think Currie has a chance to unseat Rep. Kathy Sims?
