Wild Card/Monday — 8.4.14

Mrs. O & I attended a wedding at Elk Point, on Potlatch Hill, overlooking the Coeur d'Alene Resort golf course & Lake Coeur d'Alene Sunday afternoon. Terrific view. A bit warm, of course. But the young couple getting married appear to have the right stuff to make it for the long run. Speaking of which, Mrs. O & I made it almost to the semi-finals in that wedding dance that features couples who have been married the longest. We finished third at 39 years. We were beaten by two couples that had been married 54.5 and 52 years. My parents were married 32 years before death parted them. Mrs. O & I aren't even in first place in our family re: marriage length. We six siblings have been married between 20 and 41 years. I thank God for that stability. Now for today's Wild Card ...
