Hayden Lake Health Advisory Lifted
A health advisory was issued on August 1st for the sportsman’s access on the northeastern end of Hayden Lake by the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality and the Panhandle Health District due to the presence of high concentrations of blue-green algae that can produce toxins harmful to humans and animals. Officials from Idaho Department of Environmental Quality have been monitoring the lake since the advisory was issued and they now confirm the concentration of the blue-green algae in sportsman’s access on the northeastern end of Hayden Lake is no longer a concern for the presence of harmful toxins produced by the algae.
