Ex-St. Maries Mayor Joins CPD

Veteran police officer and former St. Maries mayor Tami Holdahl was sworn in Monday as the Lake City's newest officer. Holdahl has worked for the Coeur d'Alene Tribal Police Department since 2002 and is a sergeant, holding an Idaho POST Supervisor certification. Prior to working for the Tribe, she worked for the Benewah County Sheriff's Office for three years as a reserve deputy, patrol deputy and patrol sergeant. Holdahl is currently an Idaho POST certified instructor in 10 disciplines, including arrest techniques, taser, crime scene investigation, domestic violence and effective communication. She has been an instructor at the North Idaho College POST Academy. Holdahl served as mayor and as a City Council member for St. Maries from January 2006 through January 2014/Coeur d'Alene Press.
