Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

Erika Anderson, lead singer of Strictly Business, performed a knockout version of Cyndy Lauper's "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" at the free Handshake Productions concert at Hayden City Park last night. And to prove that she wanted to have fun, she coaxed Big Earl & I to be part of a Village People male dance troupe for the song "YMCA" (with our wives' encouragement). I bested Big Earl in the hand-motion "YMCA" part. But he left me in the dirt with his moves throughout the rest of our poor attempt to follow Erika's instruction. Big Earl was the cop (which is appropriate since he used to be a Coeur d'Alene police volunteer. I was the fireman. My performance was forgettable, as was evidenced by a woman on the way out who told us that she liked the construction worker best. I'm glad Duane Rasmussen and his camera weren't there for our performance.
