On The Waterfront — 12.11.14

Crews continue to work to remove stumps and modify the bank along the northwestern end of the Dike Road (closest to sewer plant). Many of the trees, stumps and bushes have been removed from this stretch between the college and the Spokane River. About 18 stumps need to be removed farther south, opposite the main stage used during Art on the Green. Workers, with heavy equipment, are also smoothing the river bank leading down to the North Idaho College beach and water, to a 3:1 grade. The view of the river has been significantly opened up. A supervisor told me yesterday that crews will continue to clear out trees and brush along the dike as time and weather allows. So far? So good/DFO.
