Rights Don’t Include Bathroom Use

Male called the police because a convenience store employee refused him the right to use their restroom facilities and he wanted to know if this was legal. He flexed his knowledge of the law and pointed out that dining establishments were required to provide restrooms for their patrons. The officer provided the male with clues that would help him later differentiate between a convenience store and a dining establishment. More from Post Falls Police Department activities here.
