Huckleberries Online

John A: ‘Twas the night before a Hucks Online Christmas

A lovely gift from our friend John A.

The glow of the Dell on the now-opened site.,
Gave a lustre of midday to kitty (in flight.)
When what to my wondering eyes did appear,
But a miniature avatar from DFO, near.
With a little print driver so lively and quick,
I knew in a moment to add paper, thick.

More rapid than eagles his laughter became,
And he whistled, and he shouted, and called them by name:
"Now, Monday! now, Tuesday! now Wednesday and then!
On, Christmas! then, Friday! and weekends (no end!)
So free from this website! from winter to fall!
Now come my way! come my way! come my way all!"

And, Cindy who, like the wild hurricanes fly,
When they meet with an obstacle, shout to the sky;
So up to the blog top the curses they flew
"It's all your fault, DFO, all 'cause of YOU!"
With the blog full of trolls, now DFO too—
Caused her to say "I am SO through with you."

Then slowly, if angrily, back from the dead;
Soon gave us to know we had nothing to dread;
She spoke not a word, but went straight to her work,
She filed all her stories; stopped being a (difficult person,)
And, then in the distance a DFO cheer:
“Happy Christmas to all, we'll see you next year!”

Merry Christmas, Cindy, and thanks for filling in! :)
