Pischner Eyes County Clerk’s Race
Don Pischner last week filed documents to appoint a campaign treasurer and begin raising money for a run for Kootenai County clerk. "It's a position I've always been interested in," Pischner, of Harrison, said. "This would be a good time for me." Pischner lost a 2002 bid for a fifth term in the state House when he was beaten in the Republican primary by Charles Eberle. Pischner can't file his notice of candidacy until March/Coeur d'Alene Press.
DFO: Pischner was a solid Republican legislator of the old Wayne Meyer mold who got knocked off by controversial Eberle.
