Deanna Goodlander: I hear that there are approximately 36% registered Republican, about 17% Democrat and the rest Independent. If you want a say in who represents you in the next election you need to vote in the Primaries, In this Republican area who wins the Primary is usually elected. In order to vote Republican (to have your vote count) you need to register party affiliation by March 14th. You do that at the elections office. There are 6 County positions that will be up this year. Its pretty simple. If you want a vote....register Republican and vote in the Primaries.
DFO: Thank you for your many years of service to Coeur d'Alene, Deanna.
Question: Wouldn't it be funny if all the centrist Republicans, Democrats and Independents in this county registered Republicans and caused Tea Party Republicans behind GOP primary closure to realize their worst fears -- a bonafide cross-over vote?
