All those wild & crazy campaign days last fall — and, in reality, for the last 18 months or so — were pointing to this day when the guard changes in Coeur d'Alene (and Post Falls) municipal government. RecallCDA. Decline to Sign. Failed recall attempt. McEuen Field makeover. Coeur d'Alene School Board elections. Coeur d'Alene mayor and council elections. All that pointed to this day. This night. Mayor Steve Widmyer and the new council will inherit oversight of a community in dramatically better shape than 12 years ago when Mayor Sandi Bloem began cleaning up the mess left behind by the Judy administration.
