A 61-year-old Post Falls man was killed in a head-on collision on Highway near Sagle at 7:26 this morning, according to the Idaho State Police. Darrel C. Kirking died at the scene of the accident after his 1999 Ford Escort was hit head-on by a 2003 Ford Focus, driven by Barbara A. Farrington, 70, of Thompson Falls, Mont. Farrington was southbound on Highway 95 when she veered into the northbound land and hit Kirking's vehicle. Farrington was transported to Kootenai Medical Center. The accident closed the highway for 2 1/2 hours.
