CdA Symphony gears concert toward kids

The Coeur d’Alene Symphony, with an assist from the Coeur d’Alene Youth Symphony, will perform two family-friendly concerts this weekend at the Salvation Army Kroc Center.

The program includes music from popular movies and the amusing PDQ Bach arrangement of Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5, setting the famous first movement – Ba da da DUM! – as a sportscast, complete with referees, cheerleaders and announcers.

This concert is free for children 12 and younger when accompanied by a paying adult.

When: 7:30 p.m. today, 2 p.m. Saturday

Where: Salvation Army Kroc Center, 1765 W. Golf Course Road, Coeur d’Alene

Are you a fan of the CdA symphony?
