EagleKeeper: FAA Must Protect Public

EagleKeeper44: (RE: Poll: FAA wrong to ground SR photog): Interesting but not surprising poll result. The FAA is tasked with insuring that things that fly are as safe as practical. If the quadracopter crashed (killing grandma jones in her garden) because of design fault/poor engineering/insufficient operator training or procedures, public out roar would be deafening. The FAA MUST err on the side of public safety ... give the new technology time to mature and you will see them used as the SR photo guy wants to...be patient.
