McEuen Update: Sidewalk Work Set

As each week goes by, Front Avenue adjacent to the McEuen Park project in downtown Coeur d’Alene is looking more like a revitalized downtown street and less like a construction zone. Crews next week will begin pouring the last section of sidewalk on the north side of Front between Fifth and Sixth streets. The work is expected to take 2-3 weeks. When complete, detour fencing along that block-long stretch of sidewalk will be removed, improving pedestrian flow. McEuen Park itself is also taking shape, contractors and city officials said during a weekly park update on Wednesday. Large colorful water features for the interactive splash pad will soon be installed. When complete, the splash pad will boast more than a dozen spouting ornaments and be the largest aqua play area in the city/Keith Erickson, Coeur d'Alene Today. More here.
