Quotable Quote — Kerri Thoreson

"Had the honor of introducing Congressman Raul Labrador at a standing room only Town Hall meeting at the Post Falls Senior Center tonight. I'm so appreciative that we live in a state where citizens have such incredible access to our elected representatives" -- Councilwoman Kerri Thoreson of Post Falls.

DFO: I agree with Kerri re: access to the state's top officials. I still remember the first time I met the governor of Montana (Tom Judge, at the time) after relocating to take a job at the Daily Inter Lake in Kalispell, Mont. I met him as he de-planed with this agriculture secretary at the Kalispell airport. Walked right up to him. No body guards. That was a far cry from months before when I'd met California Gov. Jerry Brown (first term) in Stockton, Calif., who was surrounded by body guards.

Question: Are you impressed that you have such easy access to high-ranking Idaho officials?
