Did Knox’s Ex Seek Lake City Bride?
The international murder case involving Seattle’s Amanda Knox has a Coeur d’Alene connection, according to entertainment website Radar Online. Knox and her then-boyfriend, Raffaele Sollecito, were convicted of the 2007 murder of 21-year-old language student Meredith Kercher in Perugia, Italy. The convictions were overturned four years later. Knox returned to the Puget Sound area. Sollecito has been staying with relatives in New Jersey. According to Radar Online, Sollecito tried to avoid extradition to Italy by asking Knox to marry him. When she refused, the article said, he responded to a message left by Kelsey Kay, of Coeur d’Alene, on his website to raise money for legal expenses. Sollecito called Kay and immediately discussed the marriage idea/D.F. Oliveria, SR Sunday Huckleberries. More here.
