Post Falls Man Imprisoned For 7th DUI

An Idaho judge sent a Post Falls man with seven drunk driving convictions to prison for six years. Glenn Lange, 49, pleaded guilty to a March 27 DUI and resisting arrest case. Neighbors familiar with his history called police when they saw him driving under the influence, according to a press release from the Kootenai County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. When Post Falls Police officers pulled him over he locked himself in his car, refusing to get out. The officers broke out a window so they could arrest him, the press release said. Lange must serve at least two years of his six year sentence/SR.

Question: I don't think prison is the best solution for a man with an obvious addiction. OTOH, his addiction has made him a menace to suicide. He's fortunate that he hasn't killed anyone yet. You be the judge. What would you have done with this man?
