Military Plaques Back At Q’emiln Park

Kerri Thoreson Facebook: "The military emblems have been replaced at the flag pole in Q'emiln Park! Back in March when it became clear that the stolen emblems would not likely be recovered, I put out a call to raise funds to replace them. The goal was reached within 48 hours! On July 1 the new emblems and upgraded pedestal were installed. Thank you to donors Joe Dobson, Bennett and Georgia Fuller, Jim and Andi Fehling, Joni Clevenger, Nancy Lyon, Teresa Capone and Tom Capone and Community-lst Bank. Also to Skip Hissong / Summitt Equip. for the fabrication. We shopped local for the cast bronze emblems and IN HONOR OF ALL WHO SERVED plaque at Awards Etc. A true community effort to make sure the thieves did not win." (Photo: Kerri Thoreson)
