The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office has taken custody of Marcus A. Rael, the subject involved in the pursuit with area law enforcement and subsequent exchange of gunfire on Interstate 90 in the early morning hours of June 22. Rael is currently being held at the Kootenai County Jail on one count of felony eluding a peace officer. His current bail is one million dollars. The Critical Incident Task Force Detectives are continuing interviews as well as collecting and processing evidence/Lt. Stu Miller, KCSD.
