Target: Don’t Bring Guns Into Store

Big-box retailer Target has become the latest national chain to request that its customers leave their guns at home. In an open letter released today by Target Interim CEO John Mulligan, the chain described the question of the appropriateness of open carrying in shopping centers as a "complicated issue," but concluded that "it boils down to a simple belief: Bringing firearms to Target creates an environment that is at odds with the family-friendly shopping and work experience we strive to create." "Our approach has always been to follow local laws, and of course, we will continue to do so. But starting today we will also respectfully request that guests not bring firearms to Target—even in communities where it is permitted by law," the letter read/Harrison Barry, Boise Weekly. Question: Do you agree/disagree with this Target policy?
