Crash Shuts H41, Injures Passenger

A crash between a motorhome and a logging truck at Highway 41 and Scarcello Road/Twin Falls left a passenger injured and the highway closed this morning. According to an ISP report, trucker Jared J. Isbell, 37, of Rathdrum, was turning onto Highway 41 from Scarcello Road when he hit the northbound motorhome, driven by Ralph A. Wheeler, 82, of Spirit Lake. Neither Isbell or Wheeler were injured. But Wheeler's wife, Lila, was injured and taken by ambulance to Kootenai Health. The motorhome was destroyed by the crash, which left a diesel spill 55 to 100 yards long. The accident is still under investigation.
