Why Won’t KCSD Release 1st Names?

On her Facebook page, T. Thompson of the Coeur d'Alene Press expresses her annoyance (the SR shares it) with the Kootenai County Sheriff's Department: "Weirdest public records battle to date: KCSO refusing to release first names of two publicly paid officers who were involved in a shooting. Three other agencies released FULL names of officers from those agencies who were involved in the same shooting. I'm not sure when this "policy" went into effect because the KCSO just released full names of officers who received promotions."

D. Oliveria: Don't look at me. It doesn't make sense to me either.

On Twitter: D. Walters/Inlander tweets: Maybe one of their first names is Nickelback.

Thoughts?
