Eddie: Will Memorial Field Remain

Eddie Torreal (Memorial Field gets a new roof): Have the plans concerning Memorial Field in the 4 corners project been finalized? I recall hearing there was consideration of reconfiguring the field and moving home plate to what is now the left field corner. Am I to assume that since they are spending money to replace the roof that Memorial Field will remain as is as part of the 4 corners project?

Question: I'm under the impression that Memorial Field will remain as is, a definite part of the Four Corners project. I've heard rumors that the city may upgrade it to a Field of (Softball) Dreams-type park, complete with new surfacing of the field to aid water runoff on rainy days. But I don't think anyone wants to risk removing the field or dramatically changing it. Thoughts?
