Hammond to lead PAC
Panhandle Area Council has tapped Jim Hammond as Executive Director of the economic development organization. He’ll begin in the position on June 16. Hammond formerly held the offices of state senator and Post Falls mayor. He has served on the Idaho State Board of Education and as President of Idaho City Managers Association.
“The PAC board is looking forward to the contributions Jim will make to advance economic development in our five northern counties,” said PAC vice-chair Kerri Thoreson. “He not only has respected and established relationships in the public sector but also throughout the business community.”
Hammond served on the PAC board of directors for over a decade when he was a Post Falls city councilor so his historical perspective will serve the organization well now in his new role, said Thoreson.
