Hump Day Wild Card — 6.18.14

I read "Casino Royale" during my vacay. It was the book Ian Fleming used to introduce 007 James Bond to the masses. I wanted to see how closely the various movie Bond's resembled Fleming's original Bond. Daniel Craig, the current Bond, probably is the closest match, physically -- and the way he portrayed Bond's ruthlessness. I'm now reading the second of Fleming's books about Bond, "Live and Let Die." I don't know how many of the series I'll read. It's interesting to stack bond up with the current spy/thriller books. Some of the language isn't PC. But it's an entertaining way to spend an hour after work. Do you enjoy spy/thriller books? You can answer that question or start your own thread on today's Wild Card ...
