Ex-Chair: Put A Fork In Peterson

Former Idaho GOP Chairman Trent Clark said Friday "it's kind of a done deal" that Barry Peterson will lose his struggle to hang on as Republican chairman. "My supposition is that Barry will see the writing on the wall and will cooperate with an orderly transition," said Clark, GOP Chairman from 1999-2002. Peterson's clinging to power hurts both him and the party, said Clark, who wrote a sharply-worded email to about 370 Republicans Friday morning alleging mob rule. In an interview, Clark said the party's finances and headquarters must be secured/Dan Popkey, Idaho Statesman. More here.
