Nonini Led Primary Spenders
State Sen. Bob Nonini, R-Coeur d'Alene, was the biggest campaign spender in the month of May, according to campaign finance reports filed with the Secretary of State on Friday. Nonini spent $30,342 in the last month of the May 20 primary election, and most of that, roughly $17,050, was on advertising with The Coeur d'Alene Press. He raised $12,468 during the same time period, and is sitting on $12,135 going into June. Nonini's primary opponent, Pat Whalen, failed to report his post-primary campaign finance report/Jeff Selle, Coeur d'Alene Press. More here.
Oopsy: In story, Eric Redman's total fund-raising should read Redman raised $1,371, not $41,371.
