Here's the tarantula captured by Coeur d'Alene animal control this morning after a pedestrian reported that a giant spider was crossing a path in the 6000 block of Courcelles Parkway, Coeur d'Alene Place. Sgt. Christie Wood, the Coeur d'Alene Police Department public information officer, tells Huckleberries that she thought the tarantula was a toy until it move. Second photo in comments section.   • 2:46 p.m. Garage alarm sounding from home on Sundara Court/Harrison.
  • 2:34 p.m. Shoplifter has left Post Falls WalMart East & now is being aisles 4 & 5 in parking lot.
  • 2:29 p.m. Giant tarantula found in Coeur d'Alene Place now in possession of 2nd CPD officer.
  • 1:53 p.m. Deputy on scene (1:31 item) calls for Life Flight.
  • 1:52 p.m. Deputy on scene reports 32YO female is 30 feet down embankment (1:31 item) & may have broken femur.
  • 1:31 p.m. Deputies are trying to rendezvous w/caller in Hayden Creek area who called in crash on USFS Road 206.
