MikeK (RE: Coeur d'Alene loses out on mental health facility): From a financial standpoint, not to mention a moral standpoint, this is a great disappointment. In my city capacity we worked with multiple entities, public and private, to secure this facility or one like it for a long time to save real money and to help people. Progress had been made and good people from across the spectrum had agreed on the scope of the problems and some smart and effective solutions. Then ideologues show up to shoot the innocent and work against their constituents and their constituents interests. Immensely frustrating.
Question: If it's not about one of their pet issues (nullification, public lands, Common Core), our Tea-publican legislators tend to simply vote no. It beats researching or even thinking about the matter. Thoughts?
