Wild Card/Monday — 6.30.14

I've attended 3 Lake City Playhouse plays over the last 3 years -- and got my money's worth from all of them. I wasn't a "Guys & Dolls" fan until Saturday night when the Playhouse closed its 53rd season with a standing-ovation production of the old Damon Runyon play. I laughed early and laughed often. Last year, I enjoyed "Sweeney Todd" and the year before "Fiddler on the Roof." With the Coeur d'Alene Summer Theatre struggling to find its footing, the Lake City Playhouse appears to be a solid alternative for anyone of enjoys live theater. There was a time when that wasn't so. But the Playhouse has become a quality community theater again. Now for your Monday Wild Card ...
