Banducci Calls Student Prez ‘A Pawn’

At the Feb. 26 North Idaho College Board of Trustees meeting, Trustee Todd Banducci failed to curb his tongue -- again -- when he was admonished by NIC student body President Benaiah Cheevers. The exchange was launched by Cheevers, who began his regular report to the board by asking for civility at NIC meetings (2:23:16 mark of the video above). Cheevers gave examples of what he considered "inappropriate behavior" by Trustee Banducci, toward Faculty Assembly Chairwoman Michelle Lippert, toward college PR veep Mark Browning, and toward fellow board members. Also, Cheevers noted Banducci's "harshly interrogative" style. In response, Banducci (at the 2:30.40 mark), made a brief statement in which he told Cheevers that his "indoctrination is clearly complete" and that he has become "a pawn" of the college faculty, staff and administration. Bottom line: Message sent but not received.

Question: Whose comment was more civil/appropriate -- the student body president's or Trustee Banducci's?
