Mary Souza, the unsuccessful candidate for Coeur d'Alene mayor last November, has filed as a Republican to run against incumbent state Sen. John Goedde, R-Coeur d'Alene. Souza filing means that two women who were active in the failed 2012 Coeur d'Alene recall attempt, will be running for the Republican nomination in Legislative District 4. State Rep. Kathy Sims, R-Coeur d'Alene, will be running against former Republicam Commissioner Rick Currie. In the other Legislative District 4 race, state Rep. Luke Malek, R-Coeur d'Alene, will face Coeur d'Alene businessman Toby Schindelbeck. You can see the statewide, legislative and judge candidacy filings here.
