Poll: No Surprises With Local Politics

  • Monday Poll: A plurality of Hucks Nation sez nothing surprises it when it comes to our weird local politics. 74 of 163 respondents (45.4%) said they're immune from political surprises at the local level. However, 39 of 163 respondents (23.93%) said they were surprised by decision by conservative maverick Larry Spencer to file as a Democrat for Kootenai County assessor. 30 (18.4%) said they were surprised by City Hall critic Mary Souza's decision to run for state senator. 13 (7.98%) said they were most surprised by news that several conservatives had signed up for precinct committee posts in Democratic Central Committee races. 7 (4.29%) said they were surprised by the large number (115) of contestants in GOP Central Committee races.
  • Today's Poll: Why do you think conservative maverick Larry Spence is running as a Democrat for the office of county assessor?
