Police say two people have been killed in a shooting at a Coeur d’Alene home in the 1300 block of North First Street. Police took a juvenile suspect into custody after the Monday night shooting, news reports and a news release said. Sgt. Christie Wood confirmed the two deaths. The victims were not immediately identified. Jeff Conroy, executive director of St. Vincent de Paul in Coeur d’Alene, said the single-family home was one of the social service agency’s emergency housing units. A family had been living there for a few months, he said. “We use that house to put families in,” Conroy said. “We have people who need a place to land until they get their life in order.” In 68 years of operation, Conroy said, St. Vincent de Paul has never experienced anything like this in one of its units/SR.
